A.R.E.S. – Amateur Radio Emergency Service

Amateur radio emergency service A.R.E.S. is a system of steps of Slovak Amateur Radio Association securing a wireless connection by using radioamateur  service in a case of emergency in cooperation with  authorized establishment and organizations of SR. It is a radioamateur service provided by radioamateurs creating a radio emergency network in favor of regions, establishment and organizations of Slovak Republic in the territory of SR. Our goal is to build up with the help of radioamateur community a functional communication system, which will be capable of temporal substitution of common communication systems in a case of emergency. 

According to recommendation of International Telecommunication Union - ITU, the radio network A.R.E.S. should be completely independent from all the other telecommunication services and emergency headquarters should have a full control over it.
